TRIAD is a national program

crime prevention, schemes, scams, and fraud which can
adversely affect safe lifestyles.

Marshall County TRIAD wants to remind seniors that Spring is
just around the corner. This is the time of year for home
improvement scams. Seniors need to be especially
vigilant against these most unscrupulous individuals.
Make sure you use a reputable or known contractor and ask
for references before any work is agreed upon. Always
be alert to those contractors that stop at your home and
inform you of work that needs to be done. Only use
reputable contractors that you know and trust. If
there is any question about whether a contractor is
reliable, you can check with the Better Business Bureau at

www.fortwayne.bbb.org.
It is much easier to prevent these incidents than to recover
losses incurred. |
